Not just our Microsoft certification 1 month ago has received a great feedback in the VoIP community, also our introduction of our own IP PBX snom One. Again we would like to share with you what others have said:
Garret Smith/ Voipinsider: “But there was one thing that caught my eye that totally gives snom a unique competitive differentiator that is likely to be very popular with businesses of all sizes. The snom ONE software works with multiple different operating systems…but if the snom ONE is engineered and designed like the rest of the snom line I’m smelling a winner.” http://blog.voipsupply.com/snom-one
Matt Landis: “My opinion is that pbxnsip joining snom is a great move. I am hoping that the snom will be able to find a good balance between “openess” & “closedness” in snom ONE and be able to provide responsive support in some fashion. snom ONE is an extremely sound, secure and feature rich product. I am excited about more people getting to know about this very good product…” http://windowspbx.blogspot.com/2010/10/various-thoughts-opinions-and-findings.html
“On a whim I decided to see how easy it is to install snom ONE phone system on a Macbook. The answer is: VERY! Just about 5 minutes later the snom ONE pbx was humming away on my little white MacBook with an extension registered and ready to roll! Wow!“ http://windowspbx.blogspot.com/2010/10/software-based-phone-system-for-mac.html
Dave Michels: “What makes the product unique is it can be loaded on a Linux, Windows, or MacOS computer and offers plug and play auto-configuration with Snom phones. I can’t think of any phone system that works with MacOS – it just might become a strong niche play for that market.” http://www.pindropsoup.com/2010/10/snom-wants-more.html

The down economy couldn’t keep the crowds away from the VON Conference & Expo and the Channel Partners Conference & Expo last week in Miami as hundreds flocked to the two events to bone up on telecom and VoIP and enjoy the fine Florida weather.
snom was there, showcasing its portfolio of VoIP phones, including the recently released snom 870 touch-screen.
“Both shows were very good and very well attended for 2009,” said Mike Storella, snom’s director of business development.
Storella said the talk of Channel Partners was hosted VoIP services; a sign that as the voice market matures providers are looking to offer more services into the enterprise. The savings of hosted VoIP is also enticing new customers.
“They’re bullish about the expansion of VoIP,” he said.
Meanwhile, at VON, HD voice was the topic du jour.
“I think people are starting to hear about it,” Storella said of HD VoIP, which snom offers in its snom 870 touch-screen phone. Storella added that businesses are looking to HD endpoints to future-proof their voice systems for the HD boom that is soon to come.
And while hosted VoIP and HD Voice were the hot topics at Channel Partners and VON, respectively, a good amount of snom’s foot-traffic was thanks to the snom 870.
Storella said nearly everyone who popped by the snom booth played with the 870, marveling at its color touch-screen, Wi-Fi support and HD voice capabilities, all with a price tag of just $379.
If you would like to know how the blogosphere responded to the VON, we recommend you this interesting blog post by Richard Martin.

Today we discovered an interesting tweet from ProvuUK. They use our snom 820 as a charger for an iphone (the pictures can be found below as well )
iphone meets ip phone! Of course, the snom 820 USB port also works with WLAN, but this is just a very interesting application!
Check out Provu’s Twitter profile!
What kind of USB applications do you use for the snom 820? Send us your feedback at Marketing@snom.com!

Kerry from 888Voipstore.com published a review with a video about the snom MeetingPoint Conference IP phone.
